Forks, Washington now celebrates Stephenie Meyer Day on September 13th, aka Bella‘s birthday. Here’s the scoop if you want to take a quick trip to the west coast (which, by the way, is every bit as beautiful and green as it looks in the movies:

The citizens of Forks are gearing up for another fun and festive event weekend by hosting the fourth annual Stephenie Meyer Day! During this weekend in Forks, citizens and guests will experience a plethora of activities dedicated to the Twilight series and the author who penned them, all in the very place where the wildly successful series is set. Dazzled by Twilight, the town’s most exclusive Twilight-inspired store, will hold a number of fun events that you’ll be sure not to miss.

In addition to Dazzled by Twilight’s Stephenie Meyer Day events, they will be launching two new programs including their free news text program (text DAZZLED to 313131 to sign up now!)* as well as fun letters from Edward, Bella or any Twilight character called Letters From Forks. Join us for a weekend you’ll never forget!

6pm-7:45pm- Private Media/Fan site Tour of Forks! Join Dazzled by Twilight on a private, exclusive tour of Forks and the highlighted Twilight stops along the way. Visit Charlie and Bella’s house, the treaty line and the beautiful Rialto Beach among others. Ask questions about Forks, Dazzled by Twilight and any of the weekend’s upcoming events during the tour for any articles or coverage! It’s the perfect way to get oriented. 8am-8pm- Be sure to take one of Dazzled by Twilight’s exclusive tours of Forks, including all of the great Twilight hot spots in addition to a visit to Rialto Beach, where you can see a dazzling view of La Push’s James Island.

8am-8pm- Exclusive Dazzled by Twilight Scavenger Hunt Extravaganza! This scavenger hunt will lead you all over Forks, stopping at Twilight hot spots and Forks businesses. The fun hunt will coincide with the Forks tours led by Dazzled by Twilight, but anyone in Forks can participate! Simply text DAZZLED to 313131 and you will receive text clues that take you to each destination. A trivia question will be revealed at that location, where you’ll have to text the right answer in order to receive the next clue. Peter Facinelli responded via Twitter with good humor after Rolling Stone named him the worst TV and film vampire of all time:

YES! I finally came in Number 1 in something!

….Thank you Mr. Travers. As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire in nature, being the worst Vampire was quite the compliment. Although, you had me at “solid actor”. I did find the comparison to Austin Scarlett utterly ridiculous though … He has way better cheek bones.

Entertainment Weekly has been having a competition on their website: who is the sexiest beast? The final battle came down to Edward Cullen and Damon Salvatore (of The Vampire Diaries)… Damon Salvatore won, but only by 3,902 votes! Personally, I would have chosen Alcide from True Blood, but I seem to have a thing for werewolves lately.

And finally, vampires have been responsible for $7 billion spent in earned in Hollywood since November 2008 (yes, when Twilight opened in theaters). With parody Vampire Sucks doing great, True Blood having obsessive fans (including me!) and the second season of the very popular The Vampire Diaries about to start, this number is going to grow and grow. By the time Breaking Dawn Part 2 comes out on DVD, vampires will probably be able to pay off the national deficit.

Fascinating Things About Robert Pattinson

Not really, but not much is really going on in the world of Twilight.

Robert’s favorite scene in Eclipse:

There is a scene where Bella kisses Jacob. She comes back to ask forgiveness and Edward acts very understanding about this. I think this is a nice moment. This is the only scene in the whole series that I can identify with Edward. I don’t think there are many guys who can do this and for me this scene is a sign that he is a good guy.

Robert on recording an album right now:

I don’t know if I can deal with the criticism about my music. I like making music and if I release an album now, a lot of people who hate popular things can go too far and say awful things about me. When it comes to acting I’m at a place where I have to deal with this kind of stuff. But when it comes to music, I don’t want to get up and say “Come on, tell me what you think about it.” I don’t care what anybody thinks because I’m not trying to sell my music, and I don’t need to sell my music, so it’s pointless. I’m playing for my friends and for myself all the time. There are certain people I want to get feedback from but you see how people react to most of the things, they are ready to criticize everything.

Robert doesn’t know how to cook (maybe he needs Kellan Lutz’ omelette maker):

In Los Angeles I started using a delivery service which only delivers fresh and healthy food. Even in the morning I have a bag with healthy food delivered to me. I’ve never in my life lived as healthy as I do now. Of course I miss home-made food but I’m on my own or on the go most of the time. And I can’t cook myself. I only just manage to make some toast, I don’t seem to have the genetic endowments for it. I’m incapable to tell what tastes good and what doesn’t.

No Jonas, Vampire Teeth, Anna Kendrick and Kristen’s Cat

Ashley Greene is not, I repeat, is not dating Joe Jonas. She is actually dating Brock Kelly, an actor who has yet to to do anything the least bit impressive.

Twilight Saga screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg told Pop Sugar that

“The childbirth — all the scenes, I feel — should be on screen. Would we actually see Edward’s teeth through the placenta? I don’t think so. I don’t think we need to see that.”

I guess a DIY c-section with vampire teeth in lieu of a scalpel won’t get a PG-13 rating. Too bad.

Anna Kendrick will be at Comic Con in San Diego on July 22nd. She’ll also be on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on July 26th. She’s promoting Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

This almost makes me like her: Kristen Stewart travels with her cat, Max.
