The Vampirella comic book is getting a reboot in November thanks to Dynamite Entertainment.

For those unfamiliar with the vivacious vampiress, Vampirella had an origin not unlike that of Superman. Originally created as the lone survivor of the planet Draculon, Vampirella came to Earth to eradicate the evil vampire forces on our planet. While her origin has changed over the years, the core of the character remains the same, and unlike the traditional vampires of lore, Vampirella has none of the traditional weaknesses such as holy water, garlic or crosses. She’s been around since 1969 and has had a number of scribes take her under their wing including Alan Moore, Mark Millar, Grant Morrision, James Robinson, Jeph Loeb, and Warren Ellis.

This is Tai, the elephant who plays Rosie in Water for Elephants. But Tai might need some more training as she almost rolled over Robert Pattinson:

“The script called for the elephant to step forward while swinging her trunk from side to side, but Rosie got her signals mixed up,” a source said.

“Instead, she sat down on her big butt, lifted her front legs — then rolled over. Before anyone could react, Robert slid right down the elephant’s back. It could have been a disaster if she’d rolled over on him — but he got lucky, landing face first in a pile of dirt and mud. He was filthy, but unharmed.

“Everyone on the set cracked up — especially Reese, who was laughing so hard she couldn’t catch her breath.”

And this after being bitten by a toothless lion!

In actual, serious news, after a gang held 35 people hostage in a Rio de Janiero hotel, Twilight cast and crew are rethinking plans to film Breaking Dawn scenes in the area. What I found interesting though, from a Twihard point of view, is that most sources say that the Isle Esme scenes were to be shot there, but today they say that seens from Part 2 were to be filmed there too. So what scenes might they be? Alice and Jasper searching for other vampires to bear witness to the Volturi?
